How the fuck are the ratings dropping for this show?  I mean, how did anyone who had watched this show at all allow themselves to miss this episode? ‘Cause it’s just . . . I mean, OMFG Wow.

*Spoilers, Obviously*

Although, not that OMFG Wow for me.  It’s really too bad that I already knew Alan Tudyk was Alpha (stupid AlanTudyk.com — seriously, why did you do that?!); it obviously lessoned the impact of his ‘boo’ moment with Dr. Saunders.  And it’s kinda too bad that it’s been basically obvious since ‘The Target’ that Alpha was planning to spring Echo to be the Bonnie to his Clyde.  So while there wasn’t anything suprising in this episode, it was still highly entertaining and I absolutely cannot wait for next week’s finale.

Seeing Ballard simply in the Dollhouse was cool and cathartic, although the way he found it was a little easy and cheesy (though obvious, and of course it was all set up by Alpha anyway, so there’s nothing to complain about).  The whole scene with Victor-as-Dominic was fucked-up-cool too . . . and did you notice when he said ‘whiskey?’  He obviously wasn’t asking for a glass of Glenmorangie . . . so which one of the people in the room at the time is a Doll?  And oh yeah — if the Dollhouse is underground, where does the view out Adelle’s window come from?  And Echo dangled Dominic out those windows in episode 9, didn’t she?  Umm . . . I guess that elevator they take to get there goes all the way up to the top floors of the building above.

So do I like Alan Tudyk as Alpha?  I was hesitant at first, mostly because I don’t think he really has those kind of ‘evil good looks’ I was expecting for the character; the other rumour I had heard about it being Sean Maher would actually have been my first choice.  But, well, here we are, and I guess I’m just going to have to live with it.  His performance certainly left nothing to complain about, especially for a first episode . . . let’s see what he can do as we move on.

There’s not too much else to say about this one.  The ‘overlapping’ story of Briar Rose was another obvious and contrived metaphor or similitude for the main plot of the episode — that aspect of the show’s writing is definitely becoming annoying and I really don’t think it’s needed every single episode.

So . . . yeah.  Again, DON’T CANCEL IT!!!

And air episode 13 as well.  There’s still a kerfufle a-brewing over it at the moment.

I’ve been carefully avoiding spoilers so I was excited that Alan Tudyk was going to have a guest spot in this episode. Oh happy memories of Wash… and then he’s Alpha I was like WTF?!?!? So great. I think he can pull the evil thing off. I cannot wait for the final episode, and I will be so sad if they kill it after. When will we know if it’s coming back or not?

Don’t know. Maybe not until the ratings are in for Ep. 12. They’re still debating whether to show Ep. 13 or not — apparently that decision is tied to whether it’s getting renewed or not.

Is anyone else watching Fringe? Because it’s been renewed for a second season, and it’s just not getting it right. I still like it though, but if I had to choose it would be Dollhouse for sure.
