Blogging Cannes – Indirectly

While I’m sure the Cannes Film Festival would be fun and all, some of us have more important things to do with our time. And, seeing as we have so little time to devote to reading blogs about movies, here’s a link to just one: Brian D. Johnson’s Maclean’s blog.

Johnson is a good, compact writer whom I’ve admired over the years. You’ll often find spelling mistakes, or missed words in his blog posts, but give the guy some slack, he’s busy doing interviews, and asking questions to Sean Penn. At the end of the festival he’ll probably write an article about how tiring the whole rigmarole is, like he does every year.
