Culturatti Project #3: Finca Vigia

Because I decided I now need five blogs to keep me occupied, I’m launching the latest of the Culturatti Projects, entitled Finca Vigia.  This one’s pretty straightforward: I read a lot of Ernest Hemingway short stories (all of them, actually), and give you my two cents on them.  Click on the pic of Papa below to visit.

So, are you going to be doing these in any particular order? By date of publication? Or will they be arranged according to the particular volumes they were published in? If that were the case, then others could buy a collected shorts book and read along.

I’m going to follow the same order as they appear in the book, which, strangely, is not their original publication order. Hemingway makes a brief allusion to this in his preface, which I’ll touch on once I get the first one out of the way (which I’ve been wanting to do for a few days, but haven’t gotten around to).

They’re all in one book? How many stories are there?

Check out ‘The Stories’ page on the blog.

You really don’t need to worry about keeping up with me. No, that won’t be a problem at all.

Keeping up with you? I figured you meant you’d read each one as I complete the review of it.

I just meant I should do the next one.

    Which is now done.

Yeah, that’s more or less what the plan is, except that I doubt I’ll be getting them read particularly quickly after you post. For example, you’ve posted the second one, but I still haven’t read the first.

    No rush.
